Well it seems this one has at last come true.......noticed today that the old "Tatlitest Restaurant" that is being refurbished or should I say rebuilt now displays a MacDonalds flag outside

When my children were younger there were never McD's abroad.
My 1st trip to Turkey was to Icmeler 16 years ago, we went to Marmaris for the afternoon, and guess what?
Yes-a McDonalds!! My kiddies sulked because there was no way I was letting them have any!
They soon got over it though when we went back and had tea in authentic Turkish with the 'puffa' garlic bread!!  :)

It's ok to have an addidas, Billabong, Quicksilver -all globlal brands but not a Mcdonalds or a Burger King? I don't get it?

I, for one, am very happy about it. Although I will not be a regular customer (maybe twice a year as a special treat for my boys), I feel a McDonalds, along with the Burger King we already have, are good for the area, mainly due to the fact that it will provide year round, regularly paid work for some of the locals.
