Depends on how much money you have in there and if you want to do more than one month at a time

Have been going Turkey for years and have been meaning to open a bank account.What do i need with me to open a account and also my wife comes out in June on her own can she open bank account without us both being there as i am not out till September.

Steven, think you need to have some kind of proof of residency (utility bill etc) for the bank. If not you just need to bring passport to tax office and they will issue you a tax number. Rules could have changed though

All you need is a tax number and 2 proofs of ID one being a passport, did this last week my second proof was my UK driving license. Tax number is easy to get from the lady on the second floor of the tax building you need to have a copy of your passport (prior as they do not do this there for you) and fill out a form with your mother and fathers first names and a address, that's it.
