Or, a slightly shorter route, if you're on the dolmus / walking. Get off just after the sign for the end of Kargi ie Kargi with a cross through it, there's a small workshop on the LHS with a road opposite. Take this road, the first part is quite a gentle level stroll, later you start to go uphill & there the road forks. Take the LH fork (it was signed for the museum) & from here to the museum is quite a steep climb, but shaded by the forest. I think it took us about an hour to walk up there, but rather less to come back.

Spot on Liz but if you get on your bike Stoop, it's a really nice ride along the Ciftlik irrigation canal which leads directly to the museum.

Stoop
from Melissa in the village I would say 40 min walk
walk up to the canal if you work your way along and up the roads it makes the climb up easier!
Once at the canal go left,  follow the canal round and you will find it on your right

You can not miss it
Alternatively take the road by the mosque (Kargi end) and walk up.  When you come to the fork in the right take the left hand lane and you will end up there

Thanks everyone.

Would it be a very hard bike ride?

Depends where you are coming from. From Calis beach to the museum takes about an hour at a fairly slow pace. There are no major slopes to contend with, though the path alongside the canal is a little rough in places.
