Kings Garden August 2013 Review

I thought I would start a fresh thread for my review as the last one started back in March.
We booked our table and collection through the booking thread on here. It worked perfectly, time and collection as stated.
At the restaurant we received a warm welcome. The food was the best we have had in Turkey, I enjoyed the nicest steak that I have had in quite some time. As a guide for others the meal cost TL 189. This was for 4 starters, 4 main meals (steak, lamb in clay pot, 2x chicken), 4 x coke, 2 x large bottles of water and a bottle of wine. There was plenty of choice for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. The food here is a cut above.
The restaurant is just under the tombs overlooking the bay, a beautiful view. Being able to visit the tombs was great.  Our evening felt very special,  Salih and his staff were friendly and good humoured. We all had a wonderful night and we would definitely recommend it, if you don't go you would be missing out.

Do they still have the young lady singing on Saturdays? Had a fabulous night there last year and looking forward to going again when I get there in October. Are they open in winter ?

Shelley was there in June, she is usually there on Saturday.  She was telling us she had just become a Grandmother.  She has a great voice and is a lovey person.  Yes, have heard they are open in October.

Wow, thanks, grandmother?? From what I remember I thought she was early thirties !!
I shall certainly be going up there in October, I couldn't fault it last time.

I also went on Saturday 17th august. We were collected at the agreed time and returned afterwards.
It was my birthday and the restaurant arranged decorations on the table, set off fireworks as a celebration and complimentary cake with sparklers.
The food was fabulous (I had king Prawns) and my kids paid !!!!
What a night to remember. Thank you
