I rather thought we'd let 2013 happen first

The Meeting Point is lovely. Good food and good welcome. Unfortunately I'm not interested in football and the T.V. is loud.Have to give it a miss.

I think your right Keith, I think a better time to do this is in December.
But that's only my thought on this.

We visited the Meeting Point in May/June and also this month.   There is not football on every night, but when it is on all the restaurants show it, because it's expected by all the Football Fans. However, there are places without a T.V. and it's easy to pick one of them on a Footie Night.   Last month we met a member of the Forum  Col.m and his wife and were sitting chatting the T.V.. was on Sky news but the sound was turned off.  We cannot remember ever hearing the T.V. in the Meeting Point.

I have to agree Jacqui, never heard it either.  To be fair most of the restaurants have the sound either off or very low most of the time.

We were surprised to read that the Meeting Point had loud football on. We too have never heard his the TV in there.. We were in one night when the bar next door which was nearly empty had their TV on really loud...

We were in the Meeting Point one night and the TV was really loud - and we were about 2 metres from it while eating our meal. Mind you, it was the last World Cup Final, excellent night :D
