Fethiye

Nine months of painstaking investigation by the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime unit have uncovered a sophisticated fraud and led to the arrest of 18 people.

The fraud exploited bank point of sale units and credit cards to extract cash that was then used to run a loan shark business.

The case has been referred to the court.

The Police recovered items they believed had been stolen and the case is now awaiting a court hearing.

The press reported that they suspected that gang were from Adana because the vehicle they were using was registered in Adana.

Isn't it amazing - Calis is full of people of accuse the police of doing nothing, and not a good word when it is shown they are getting some positive results.

Well said. We do not know what goes on behind the scenes. We come under the Jandarma and there are not enough of them to cover our area fully. Well done the Police for theır efforts.
