What's Fun About VOJO Resaurant and Fun Pub
« on: October 20, 2013, 21:22:01 PM »
A question much asked when they opened here on CBF - I just have to say that we went there several times (mainly with Baz & Kaz, Anne & Billy) and we did indeed have great fun. The girls felt very special there (mainly due to Oddjob, a true gentle giant they fell in love with) and also we enjoyed the food (did the proper tourist bit with a superb Scottish breakfast at 15 TL (a fiver in today's money).

We were made very welcome by Volkan and Steve who both enjoy a bit of banter. I think I am supposed to write that I don't like it. Sorry, I like it very much, as do my family :D

We would agree in the main. Volkan is very personable as is Jo who we only met briefly and Oddjob is certainly a character.

I confess to having wondered about the "Fun" part when they opened but they are clearly working very hard and deserve to be successful.

PS I've seen the videos    ;)

I assume you mean the videos of Baz karaokeing - we had all had a loosener or 12 and I must confess I found it to be shockingly funny - what a guy our Baz is. I do wonder if he just does it that way, like Les Dawson on the piano.

I wasn't actually although I have seen the Baz one. To be honest I prefer listening to Abbie  :)

Baz is a very fine fellow of whom Brenda and I are very fond (together with the lovely Karen),

But I was referring to the Vojo vids.

It was his birthday on Saturday, he asked that anyone who could, would take some videos so that Jo could see them. Another fantastic night
For the first time in years there is somewhere on the front who seem genuinely happy to see you bum on their seat.

Got toagree with all said, always feel welcome, good food and treated well, a guy who works with me has recently sent a proper bowler hat across to oddjob, whether it ever gets there is a different story.

I also agree we like Vojo's very much, the food is good and the service is very friendly.
I often see people writing that they would not eat on the sea front because it's more expensive, however, i don't think 15 lira for a plate with two fish fillets, chips and peas could be beaten, and it was lovely.
Hope the hat fits, I have had a few bowlers, have one at the moment but I would think Oddjob would need quite a big one.

We have also had some fun times there this season - starting with their opening night party. The food has always been good and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Here's Volkan with one of their first Testi kebab dishes back in April.
