Nationwide only charge if you draw lira or euros.  No charge for Sterling, as we often draw it with our card.

I don't have a Nationwide card and apparently they do charge for foreign withdrawals from newer accounts. It seems they might be trying to phase this little perk out. 8)

Nationwide stopped allowing ALL members, new and old, from drawing foreign currency free of charge a few years ago.  So no phasing out. However, it's easy to draw out Sterling from A.T.M's without charges and change it into Lira at the Banks/Change Shops.

Yes, we discovered that little trick last time we were there.  We drew sterling out on our Santander card and on our NatWest card at different times with no charge.  Exchanged it to lira in the currency exchange place round the corner from Mosaik Bahce at a really good rate.  Fab! ;D

Yes they do charge unless you have a felxı account. They do not do flexı accounts anymore but ıf you aready have one ıts OK.

Dammit, was planning on this little trick for when I'm next out....got a letter from my bank yesterday to say they are now charging for withdrawals abroad.  >:(

You wont Don if its a Nationwide flexi visa debit card, i believe its the only card that does,nt charge for drawing sterling abroad.
