Mutlu Restaurant - breakfast 20tl
« on: January 15, 2014, 19:04:46 PM »
Is 20tl per head for breakfast a bit steep?
Hadn't been to Mutlu Restaurant in Koca Calis for breakfast for a while and was surprised to be charged 20tl per head this Sunday when we visited, plus we were charged for 3 kids aged between 3 and 4 years old which is normally free. They probably had a piece of bread and a tomato between them! I did notice the breakfast 2 doors down and still right on the beach was only 12 lira so might try that this Sunday, unless anybody has any other recommendations for a decent breakfast?

Sounds very reasonable to me, out in May so will certainly give it a go.

20tl does sound fairly expensive locally but it's the same old story, it depends what you get for that. It's only £5.50ish with the exchange rate. But irrespective of all that, I wouldn't expect to pay for 3 or 4 year olds - was it 20tl each for them also?

Confused.com

Who goes out for breakfast when on holiday.

If you are staying in a hotel, it's almost certainly on a B&B basis and if you are staying in an apartment can you really be bothered going out to a restaurant for breakfast rather than having something at "home".

We were self catering in the summer, but did sample several turkish breakfasts out. Saves arguing whose turn it is to boil the eggs, slice the cucumber, quarter the tomatoe, drizzle the honey, soften the butter, spear the olives, slice the bread, make the tea and then wash up.and don't forget the melon.

We had a villagers breakfast at the Cadianda restaurant. 30 dishes. 15tl each. Missed the Dolmus and lunch.
In December, turkish breakfasts were generally 12tl and a full English was around 15tl

I've seen a post somewhere stating they have got a bit pricey. Koca Calis Mangal (Sands) next door was about 12 last summer for a lovely breckie.

Even at the current exchange rate of 2.6 - £5.50 is expensive. Cheaper in the uk!

Is the Mutlu the one next to Bakrac as you face the sea? Was completely flattened when we walked by yesterday.
