Two duck breasts in Morrison's are £6.00.   In M.&.S. they sell a box with half a duck Hoisin sauce, cucumber, spring onions and wafer thin pancakes for £10.00.

So M&S duck = Ytl36, then one has to cook it, serve it , then wash up afterwards. So to have it cooked, served up, and table cleared afterwards, in Turkey, Ytl 49.90 doesn't really sound so bad after all.
The other answer is; Don't order the bloody duck, if you cannot afford it !!

Its actually already cooked, but it has to be warmed up, it also comes in a throw away container, so only plates to wash up.   However, agree, cheaper in Turkey as already done for you, so good value.
I can recommend this duck from M.&.S. its really good. ;D

Underwhelmed when we went to the Calis SB, as someone else wrote, the Shine is excellent value. As for UK comparisons, Aldi often do a frozen duck combo with pancakes etc £5.99 at most.

Do your own duck!

I do - buy a duck, hang it on a hook from one of your kitchen cupboard handles with a bowl underneath, boil up 50/50 water/soy sauce and several teaspoons of brown/demerera sugar, use a brush to paint your duck with this concoction, do it again  and again when you have a spare moment all afternoon, then oven cook it till the skin is dark brown and crispy.

Honestly, M&S have nothing to compare with the above.

Try pouring a kettle full of boiling water over it before glazing it, and add a bit of five spice to the glaze mix.
