Maybe we have been lucky.

We usually go once or twice a year, and every time the service and the food have been good. We don't mind paying a little more for the setting.

Not been yet this year, but will report back when we do.

a couple of years ago I went there with a couple of Turkish  friends for a cup of coffee. We were the only ones there but somehow they forgot our order. Never been back. You can get good views and better service at a 101 other places.

Ian K, Try the other end of the calis prom , Guvens, clean beach area, free sun beds no rip off prices, and good service ,you will see lots of recommendations  on here, and a lot cheaper with the same views.

we also go to Guvens frequently - more so than the Sat. In fact we go to lots of places on the front. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. Its just a case of what you want on the night!

I agree and when you have lived here a few years, you will spot the rip off merchants, but I go along with what you say. if you enjoy  what you are doing for your  enjoyment  that is what its all about,

We don't mind paying more either - but not just for the setting. I'm not paying over the odds for a setting when it comes with mediocre food and service to match.

Thanks for the replys guys,glad I asked,looks like we will give it a wide berth.Where does anyone reccommend in or within walking distance of calis centre.The obvious one being the meeting point,which I am well aware of....thanks

I still think Bella Mammas is good for both food and service. Some find the service a bit regimented and sterile, unlike most places in Calis and to a degree it is - but for a change it's nice.

We like the sat. What people have said is fair but we have always had decent service. This year might be the year we don't. We do lunch there at least once and it usually costs an arm and a leg but there's invariably a few of us and inevitably several bottles of angora ! We enjoy it and love the setting. We realise were paying top dollar for the location but we maintain if we were similarly located in , say the cote d'azure or Amalfi coast , we couldn't afford it!
