Recep is back!

several people have said to me this week what a great shame it was when Bostans closed, well fear naught!  Recep has taken charge of another bar!
He is now in Yaniklar refurbishing a beach bar by the name of Karat Bar?
He has a bit of work to do but hoped to open next week with a Bostan BBQ!
The Calis cycle gang will know of it as it was one of there stopovers
At the top of Yaniklar you need to go down the right side of the river and branch off to the right going passed the ranch and following the road down to the beach, it's the first bar you come to on the beach.

Yaniklar is around 10 minutes drive before Calis when coming from Dalaman. Good luck to Recep, I missed the initial post somehow.

Used to be known as "Starfish" there are signs from the Yaniklar bridge showing the way.

Bostans was always one of our favourites, both on the sea front, and when it moved.  Would be great if Recep put on transport, maybe at the weekend, to help to get people there.  I'm sure he will do really well in his new venture, and Carole is THE best cook

Thanks    Recep is actually doing a bus service. If a group of 4 or more want a meal he will pick up and drop off in Çalış, either for the day or just in the evening. Recep is actually doing all the cooking but it is all Turkish food and he is actually much better at that than me!

That's great news Carole (not about Recep doing the cooking, but about the transport   ).  Perhaps you could put a phone number on here - we would definitely be interested in spending a lazy afternoon and evening there when we are back in a couple of weeks.

It was always a great spot - even back in the Starfish days 2004/2005. Main problem was you had to drive so that is that sorted. Some incredible sunsets from there, so maybe that is a good time to be there.

A group of 16 of us went on Tuesday - 7 cycled and the rest were picked up by minibus. its a lovely location, loads of sunbeds (free!) on the beach, and Recep couldn't do enough for us. We all had meals which were all delicious (real chips!) and afterwards Recep brought us out big plates of complimentary fruit. We are already planning our next day out and we are going to ask Recep if he will do us a BBQ. Its a great place for a day out!!
