I've bumped my car and need some advice !
« on: April 28, 2015, 16:02:20 PM »
I have stupidly bumped my car today, driving out of the Animal shelter after my shift. I was doing about 3 miles an hour and ran into a log I hadn't noticed! Anyway, it looks pretty horrendous, the light is all pushed in and I may need a complete new panel. My questions are - Is it better to go back to the main dealer for the repair? Am I able to claim on my insurance ? When I bought the car and the garage arranged my insurance I remember them saying I was fully covered for any damage however its caused, but is it the same as the UK I will then lose my no claims bonus, or my premiums will go sky high? This is all new to me and any suggestions will be very welcome

1st Go to the Saniye and get a quote for the repairs from one of the workshops there.

2nd Go to the delaership and get a quote from them.

3rd Tell the dealership that you only want the car repairing. You don't want to buy a new car.

4th Go to the Saniye and get the repairs done there.

Or just follow items No 1 & 4 and cut out the middle man.     :D

Well, I sought further advice as a friend told me that as my car is only 10 months old I could invalidate the warranty by not having the repair done at the main dealers. I have just returned from the garage who have told me I am fully covered with the Kasco insurance, so it would have cost me over 1500tl, but I won't have to pay anything. Yes I expect my premiums will go up, but not by 1500tl, hopefully. I am booked in tomorrow, they will run me home when I drop the car off, and pick me up at teatime when they say it should be finished, thank you very much Hyundai :-)

Name the dealership so that they can be recommended in future.
