Buying antibiotics

Does anyone know if you can buy antibiotics at the local pharmacies?  We know its easy to go to the local A & E but would be easier to get at a local pharmacy if you can buy.

Yes, you can buy certain antibiotics at pharmacies. To avoid confusion you'll need to provide a copy of a prescription or the generic name of the drug.

I'm told that as of the start of April you may no longer buy antibiotics over the counter without a prescription from a medic. That's the official line......

I thought the law changed a year or so ago regarding the sale of antibiotics over the counter - was that change put on hold? 

Fairly sure the pharmacy across from Migros is run by a qualified doctor so it might be your best starting point.

No problem getting antibiotics from chemist in Gunlukbasi and from chemists in Fethiye.

Although it may be against the law, I know that Chemists still sell antibiotics over the counter.

I remember a few years ago I needed some codeine phosphate which is prescription only when I said I didn't have a prescription the girl behind the counter disappeared  out of the shop returned a few minutes later with a prescription
