My holiday neighbour has an injection from the chemist(English chemist opp Migros in town) as she reacts really badly to bites.  Cant eat any salt for 2 days after the injection.

My blood group is B and i always get bitten.  I started using 'Off' as it was recommended to me when i was last in Turkey.  It seems to work but smells disgusting. I will look 'Odomos' up Ray 1951 as i fancy a nicer smell than Off, and if it works then 2 positives for the price of one   ;)

Rana, just went and had a smell of our "Off".  It does not smell bad at all,   It is very clear spray liquid.  I always use perfume after I spray anyway, but I must admit it does not smell awful to me.  Must be doing something right as two ladies in Calis asked me what my perfume was, as they loved the smell.  ;D  ;)

As you said Jacqui you always spray perfume after using it. Could it be that they were referring too? My hubby won't use it and asks me to spray away from him because of the smell. Maybe ours was out of date when we bought it (hence the smell) I didn't check date.   ;)

We find Jungle Formula is the best - 50% Deet seems to work.

However we also use the local stuff - Sinkov being the best for us. We've never got on with the lemon stuff really.

There's another called "Off" which seems to work for us too.

Jungle by far the best though and it can be bought quite cheap at some of the bargain stores in the uk.

I just gave. Phil a smell of the Off and he cannot smell anything and I have to admit I cannot smell it either.

OFF is the one we always use , came across it in Dalyan where they can be a problem , saw the largest one ever there stuck in the mesh over the window , I presumed it had been feeding off a bodybuilder full of steroids.
