TV system
« on: June 05, 2017, 10:24:00 AM »
Hi can anyone recommend tv package (British channels). We do not have broadband as we use VINN when here as we only stay for six weeks each time. Currently use Digiturk but not impressed. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Hi Yakamoz

Is the data on your Vinn unlimited & if so what speed do you get?

no it is not unlimited and it fluctuates all the time so wouldn't be good for tv watching.

Thanks.

Ah ok I think fads Vinn is unlimited? If anyone can confirm.
Our internet fluctuates top speed 6 but get away with steaming tv.

There you go Yakamoz if you use fads vinn you can use it for streaming tv, we currently use a firestick with mobdro & kodi loaded for tv etc with a top speed of 6 that fluctuates.

I 'm  showing my naivety with technology here, i think, but does anybody have this bit of kit, 4.5G Turkcell VINN WiFi MF910V,

 http://www.turkcell.com.tr/cihazlar/vinn-ailesi/turkcell-vinn-wifi-mf910v?place=device_category

we are looking for the most cost effective way of getting wi fi, capable of streaming tv for the od week or two when come over to Calis, without contracts
we have a vin mi fi which is very good but only 3g able and limited to e-mails , browsing, streaming radio etc

2 questions:

1/      is 4G / 4.5G available in calis ?
2/      is there a  4G sim package with unlimited data which would allow worry free streaming from filmon off the internet?

thanks

We have this but from Vodafone
1. Yes it is
2. Ours is totally unlimited use - We got ours via Fads in Hisarönü.
He posted recently to say that he has reached the maximum he can supply at the moment.
As far as I understand he obtained a certain number of licences from Vodafone, Im not sure if he can supply thisTurkcell one

Through vodafone set up by Fads Al Hili.
Its 50tl a month, you can dip in and out but as I said hes not supplying anymore for now.
If you find him on fb or go to The Phone Shop in Hisaronu he will be able to advise when he can supply.
