Title: I'm a celebrity
Post by: bewva on November 17, 2013, 22:11:56 PM
Oh dear, So I now have to endure 3 weeks of this. (Out voted in our house).
Joey Essex is a complete richard head.
He said "I'm not a confrontational person. If there's an issue I won't confrontate anyone"
I thought his stupidity was an act. I'm not so sure now.

They ought to change the title to "I'm A Dickhead. Shoot Me While You Can".  ;)

Given it a miss now, old hat and seen it all before.  We watched the David Dimbleby programme where he sailed around the coast and also got his tattoo.  It was a very interesting watch.

Absolutely right there Puma. These two are the funniest double act on Tv apart from Cameron n Clegg of course.
We promised ourselves before it started that we WOULDN'T  get annoyed with the contestants and wouldn't scream at the telly " IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPIDERS,COCKROACHES,SNAKES AND RATS, WHY THE F## K HAVE YOU AGREED TO COME ON HERE. After watching the guy from "THE RIGHT STUFF" the promise was well and truly broken. :D :D

Like you Jacqui, I started watching, then turned to the David Dimbleby programme. I really enjoyed it. Interesting story regarding the Barbary Pirates and how they used to take cornish men and children as slaves. Its taken over from the Ottomann series that finished some weeks ago. A must view for me, next week. Sod, Ant and Dec.

nay nay and thrice nay from me, couldn't give a stuff about the jungle, and why Steve 'interesting' Davies should..... A, consider himself a celebrity and.... B, think anyone cares is beyond me.

I thought it was hilarious. Joey Essex is such a girl but his comments had me in stitches. He is a real thicko. Matthew Wright is such a woose, but has a reason for being there and facing his fears. Think this will be very funny  :)

The Guardian seems to have summed up the show pretty well.

The show where people you dimly remember humiliate themselves in exchange for money and the chance to be briefly recognised again.

Very good KKOB.  I think this programme is done to death.  It was good for a few years but eating kangaroo testicles is now, so old hat.   I used to like Ant & Dec too, but they are also pretty stale now.

Great episode tonight. Essex just hasn't been educated. I mean - he can't tell the time with a 12 hour clock!

I watch (and enjoy) because, similar to Celebrity Big Brother and similar, I like to see what these so called celebs are really like, how they pretend to be and how they actually are when the mask slips.

I don't care about ostrich anuses (ani) or Kangaroo testicles - we watch it in our house for the reasons given earlier. If that makes us sad, or needing to "get a life" then so be it.

Do me a bloody favour.

If he allegedly cannot tell the time, how, in all that is sacred, does he know when to turn up to record "The Only Way Is Essex"

H. - like lots of our youth he didn't listen at school (or they assumed his parents would teach him some life basics). Like many he tells the time with his iPhone I guess.

He will come out of this as a winner in that he will get more bookings and tv coverage because he is such a dipstick.
Good luck to him.

Many, many of the young people I work with can't tell the time. The youngsters today very rarely wear a watch. Have a look next time. They all use their phones for the time. The thing is, they laugh at us/me for wearing a watch rather than use my phone!!

It wasn't until he was 14 that we realised our son struggled to tell the time by a conventional clock. All the clocks in his school were digital and nobody, ourselves or teachers, had thought to teach the kids how to tell the time properly.

My Mum taught all 3 of us to tell the time before we went to school at 5.. She cut a cornflake packet up and made a cardboard clock with the hands on.. My 5th Xmas I got a Timex watch,... Just as a matter of interest Joey's Mum killed herself when he was 10 years old and had a very disturbed childhood before this... He said he wasn't very intellectual but knew all he needed to know..can't argue with that.. You don't always need a good education these days to get on in life. He is a very nice lad and he is probably going to win this.. Stop being so judgemental... and if I want and millions more want to watch this why not? I don't tell anyone else what they should or shouldn't watch.. Mind you I have only seen this series as I have been away for a while...

Matthew Wright was scared of his own shadow when he arrived. He's either conquored his fear of everything or he's a scheming little sh*t.

I know where my money lies  ;)

My son, who usually has a soft spot for a pretty girl, has announced that Amy Wotserface is also a scheming little what-Stoop-said and hopes she gets found out and booted out soon.

I was quite cheered by his somewhat out of character astute observation.
I thought it was just me being a dried up old hag and feeling bitter in the face of youth and beauty.  ;D

Well it's good to have a few who are trying to win at all costs. Matthew and Amy seem to be two who are hell bent on winnig and I predict a massive bust up if they both stay. Will some of the gentlemen taken in by her give Matthew his just desserts? I hope so  ;)

Well said Anne I was about to post about Joey's mother, it was really sad to see him at her grave in one of the TOWIE episodes, fair enough everyone has their opinion in life but so far in the show Joey has not mentioned about his mother once, he could have easily spoken about it to gain him the public's sympathy.. Yes he has provided us with some great entertainment on these dreary winter nights with some of the things he comes out with, far rather watch him then listen to some of the nasty snide people who are in there this year.... Joey to win for me!!!    ;)
