Music to Test Hi-fi With

Here I am again, dreaming up topics for my fading forum :D

I was once intrigued to hear from a guy at CBS who told me that when buying hifi equipment or speakers you should choose a track or two you know well to bring with you and crank up the volume. Tracks with a good range apparently.

He suggested 'Sultans of Swing' by Dire Straits, wouldn't have been my choice but then I worked in the warehouse at CBS and he didn't lol

Since then I do just that, but don't arm myself with Sultans of Swing [:o]

I generally choose Scooby Snacks by Fun Loving Criminals, Restless Natives by Big Country and Zombie by The Cranberries. If equipment can't cope with those three it isn't worth tuppence  :)

I wondered if anyone else does this?

No? Just me then...
