Birds Britannia

I am very impressed with this series that explores the history of the relationship between our society and its birds over the last 150 years. It represents a novel approach to natural history. Episode 3 (of 4) is on BBC4 at 7.30 tonight but the previous two can be found on BBC iPlayer. The first programme, on so-called "garden birds" (they were't called that until after WW2), I found especially interesting.
