A bit out of date but it's interesting to see who believes in evolution and who doesn't.

It would be interesting to learn how and where the survey was carried out and just how credible the numbers are. I guess if you ask a question in a certain way to someone in the bible belt of the US you are almost guaranteed to influence the answer. i.e. "Do you believe that god did in fact not make man but evolution is responsible instead?"

The commonly accepted, (by some) theory of evolution has one HUGE flaw, in my humble opinion = if man is descended/has evolved from apes, why do we still have apes ??  ;)
I rest my case, M'lud.

The commonly accepted theory of evolution - accepted, that is, by most scientists - does NOT say that homo sapiens evolved from apes, and certainly not the apes who live today. Instead what it says is that variuos branches of hominids and primates evolved from common roots. I suggest that you not only let your case rest; it should rest in peace.

The survey does have a date on it and shows the number of people asked in each country. This was put on FB by a friend of mine in the USA who was flabbergasted that so many of her countymen/women disagreed with evolution. I'm not sure what question was asked.

The question was:

"Human beings, as we know them, developed from earlier species of animals," is true or false, or whether the respondent is not sure or does not know."

I have no confidence in Americans period (8>0)  A few years back one of them asked me where I lived, I replied "South Wales", his response; "Is that in Europe?" I rest my case.
