Chinned the PC (civvie) idiot thats why the country is in the state it is. Jump a red light = fine, not make a documentary because you think you are clever!

I disagree with Screamlead.

I've watched this twice. The camera man is in the wrong for jumping a red & should be dealt with accordingly...however the pc is unaware of the correct law/procedure & get's completely tongue tied which forces him to either lie or try to bluff his way out of the situation. It comes down to lack of training more than anything else, if the pc had been properly taught how to deal with people such as the cyclist then the man would have ended up with a ticket, simple as that.

I don't think the cyclist was making the documentary to be "clever" I think he was trying to wriggle out of a fine & it worked. Let's hope the pc received some extra instructions then next time he wont be made to look quite so stupid!

I think that cyclists need to be taught the Highway Code, and pay for the privilege of using the public highway ! They should also have to have insurance, just as car/truck drivers do !!
Still do not agree with the actions of such a pig-ignorant, arrogant twat of a police officer though.

I'd have arrested him for being an ar$e. Copper was out of his depth due to lack of training. I also see cyclists doing this every day in York.
