We have now designed our 5k course, we have tested it and learned lots of important lessons from the 100+ people who turned up for our test. (We thank you all)
Following the 'test' we have decided that we would like to recruit a Course Director to take charge of various things on April 12th next year, duties will include:
Recruitment and training of course marshals
Competitor health and safety
Setting out the course, water stations, marshal stations, kilometre markers
Liaison with police and emergency services on the day
Removal of course after the event
Post race clean up (water bottles)

BTW, the pay is rubbish, in fact it's invisible but you do get to work with an amazing team of people (and I buy the beers after race day)

Despite the "no pay" condition of employment I'd like to apply.
All I would ask for is travelling expenses.

Sorry John, our travelling expenses budget won't stretch that far but you would be a great asset and sure you will play a part in some way.
