Title: Sonic Cat Repellers
Post by: bewva on April 24, 2010, 21:08:07 PM
Has anyone tried these and did it work?
We have a couple of local cats that like to use our garden as their lav and it drives me mad.[:(!] I want to get a couple of the sonic repeller things but don't want to waste about 40 quid if they are not up to the job.

I bought one and it was rubbish. Mind you, sonic cats aren't common around here.

a cheaper and more reliable option is a pile of lion poo - Honest ! it really works ! (and yes you can buy it off-line !)

I should imagine that the 'Sonic Vibrations' given off by a 12 bore double-barreled shotgun would be sufficent. :o[^]

Sonic doesn't work, local cats just stare at it. We have brought I motion sender that connects to the hose, when the cats come in the garden it fires a quick arc of spray around the garden that they soon learn is not nice. Worked for us

I tried the sonic repeller and it didn't work, except on a teenage neighbour who used to cover his ears and grimmace when passing our front garden:D.The silent roar pellets did seem to help though. The only thing that did help immensely was when a neighbour and her 2 cats moved away.Someone else will have the problem now :o
