My first port of call would be marks and spencer then asda or some other supermarket.  A bit rediculous to make a toddler wear a unniform.  You may have to alter the clothes to fit.  Good luck.

Why not ask the nursery where other parents get small uniforms from.

i have, they do the jumpers with the logo's on there but they couldnt recommend anywhere for skirts/ trousers etc. my friend had the same problem with her daughter too. she said that m&s start at 2-3yrs which is what she bought but even those will swamp her. x

I bet they do jumpers with logos at the school for two year olds - what an earner that must be!

And how ridiculous they can't tell you where to buy the rest of the uniform.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time in a few weeks I've heard of nurseries insisting on such young children wearing uniforms.  Families with young children have enough pressure these days without all this.  I think it's dreadful.

Save uniforms for when they're older, when they are a good idea.

Laurie,
You could look in the boys section for toddlers, you will almost certainly find grey trouser (maybe not really school ones but grey) and a white top & red jumper. Poor little thing all she wants to wear are some joggeres and a t-shirt so she can run around.

If you have a branch of M.&.C They do toddler clothes in a range of 1-6 years old  http://www.mandco.com/page/home.  The have a sale just now.    The other thing you could do is find a local dressmaker to run up some stuff.  I did this when my daughter was 18 months old and going to a Wedding in a kilt. I could not find a velvet waistcoat or a frilled blouse in a small size in any shops including the Scottish Traditional Dress shops.  The dressmaker did a lovely job for us.

Also, just a thought.   Does the nursery have a 2nd hand clothes section where other parents sell thier toddlers outgrown uniforms?
