The sad death of Poly Styrene (Marianne Elliot),of the X-Ray Spex, one of the leading pioneers of the Punk revolution occurred yesterday at the age of 53, such a sad loss, too young !! RIP Poly.

Gutted....when ever I hear her voice it brings back fond memories of the late 70's & the punk revolution.
A brave lady - I'm sure her spirit will live on.

Spent the evening watching her on Youtube, great memories. Very sad.

Yes I'm sure her voice resonates with those of us "of a certain age" !, her songs, as did other punk songs certainly helped mould my memories of that era, as you say her spirit will live on !!!
