Mine are the Scotch pancake kind or griddle scones as they are also known by, not the crepe type that can be tossed.
:D

We were in Northern Ireland for a long weekend and did a bit of discoverisation of the Antrim coast - including the Giant's Causeway etc, and stopped for lunch in the famous distillery town of Bushmills - where I selected a traditional Ulster Fry. It was fabulous but I was surprised to see amongst pile a large pancake (of the Scottish type you mention). It was quite sweet and a very odd thing to have with bacon and sausage etc, but I have to say totally delicious  :)

Potato scone, yes but never a griddle scone. Would be too sweet for me I think.

Yes it had all the potato scone and soda bread, but the pancake too. Had I been given the choice I would almost definitely asked for it not to be included as I am no fan of them, but actually I would have missed out on something surprisingly nice - don't knock it till you've tried it Tokes  ;)
