One of the best American bands (in my humble opinion), have disbanded after 31 years. REM split up last Wednesday. :-\

31 years is surely enough  :) Sad to see them go though, I saw them as the last band on before U2 at Milton Keynes Bowl and they almost stole the show.

We saw them at Milton Keynes many years ago and their back up band were Radiohead and we were all saying WTF are Radiohead!  
Radiohead became one of Phil's top bands. LOL.

Remember leaving our last "home" in England to move to Turkey and just as we drove out of that place R.E.M.sang "I'm not scared...I'm out of here."  Says it all ;)

Absolutely Valleyboy:D.  Can only hope they are not removing themselves completely from the music scene.  And please god do not let Michael end up as a mentor on some reality show ;)  Yeah. like that's going to happen...
