England and Euro 2016

So, played 10 won 10. Not bad against a bunch of also rans. I can't help feeling that it will all go "tits up" when we come up against the big boys. Apart from Joe Hart I don't think we have any world class players in the England side. Sad.........................but true   ;)

Seen it all before. Remember how we breezed through with games to spare under Capello - causing us to start to believe. Then the agony and pain of having to watch 11 clueless dummies unable to string two passes together in the finals.

Woy has achieved nothing of note so far.

Spot on Keith, 50 years since they won anything, last years world cup summed England up, qualified again, finished bottom of their group and never won a game. :(

I guess "you can only beat what's put in front of you" is what the FA will be saying.

Let's see how we fair against France and Italy in our up coming friendlies.

We won't win the Euros but I expect to get to the knock out stages or we will have failed.

Great to see so many UK teams getting there. Shame about the Jocks. I heard a funny thing the other day on the radio - saying that for them it will be like being on FB when all your friends are out enjoying themselves and you aren't tagged in the photo  :)

LOL

We do enjoy putting things on pedestals in England, I think it stems from the old coconut shy  ;D

It will be the same old England when the tournament starts. Players always seem nervous and restricted when playing for England.I would love to be proved wrong, but I cant see us going beyond the quarter finals( if were lucky)

The theory was that the pressure of expectation heaped on by the English press and fans causes the nerves and the failure. That seemed plausible right up until the last World Cup where England had no expectations of success at all and therefore no pressure - and they were still sh1te. Even worse than previously in fact, not even getting past the group stage.
