Faralya is a wonderful place to visit - once you get over that road!

It's a great place to see village life, many of the people were originally nomads and settled there.

We stayed at Shambala a few Novembers ago and it was so relaxing and like being in a different world yet only 30 minutes from home. Mind you it took 8 hours to get there because we walked over four mountains very slowly to get there.

Faralya is famous for its pomegranates and figs - village fig jam yum yum :P and a great place to pick up some local olive oil and honey.

There is also a beach  :)

I have walked up that way  and it is lovely but you have to be careful, wear good walking shoes, hat and carry water. Make sure you have a mobile phone on you and let someone know what time you will phone in to check you are ok if you are on your own.
There is a dolmus that travels to Faralya. :)
It would be nice if some of the local Muhtars did the same sort of page and introduced themselves, such a friendly thing to do.  :)
