I know a few years back you could withdraw sterling in Turkey using a nationwide debit card and there wasn't a charge.has that now changed?
-
We used our Nationwide Flexaccount debit card to withdraw sterling last month and weren't charged for it so if it did change it's free now
-
No charge to withdraw Sterling, there are charges if you withdraw lira though.
-
Charlste was only asking about sterling, pretty sure it's always been the case that you'll be charged for withdrawing foreign currency!
-
It doesn't answer the question but just to say I got one of those Halifax Clarity cards and withdrew around £200 in pesos in Mexico. Got a great exchange rate and was charged 59p interest. It was cheaper to do that than it was to get pesos from my bank or local foreign exchange shops prior to going.
-
People who can't / won't answer a straightforward question should be banned.
-
No you don't get charged for drawing Stirling with a Nationwide credit card.
-
If you change your account to a Nationwide Flex Plus account you don't get charged for withdrawing Lira, or any other currency anywhere in the world. You do pay £10 per month for this account but the other benefits of the account out-way that, for us anyway.
-
We have a Halifax Clarity Card too, much better than the Nationwide Card.
Davybill you better not withdraw Stirling, it's a very big place in Scotland... Alex Salmond would not be please :)
-
HaHa is Alex Salmond. Ever pleased?
