Following on from my post about Thomas Cook cancelling a lot of their Turkish flights iv now just read they are cancelling all their flights from Aberdeen to Turkey this summer...several people have phoned them and had it confirmed...so if anyone has Aberdeen flights booked you may want to phone TC to get a flight from another airport before these ones sell out..apparantly you csn get a full refund if you dont want to fly from a different airport....
-
The people I know won't travel to another sirport, they are going to other destinations from Aberdeen
-
Flights from Doncaster also now cancelled..........
-
Monarch flights from Manchester are also disappearing.
-
Just booked flight from Lgw on 13th may with monarch, hopefully won't get cancelled
-
We've been looking at monarch flights from Leeds/Bradford in May. Hope they are not going to start cancelling all over!
-
Monarch have confirmed there are no changes to my flight, so fingers crossed I will be in Calis very early on the 14th may
-
I have booked with Monarch Gatwick for the 9th May hopefully there will be no changes

Blimey, state of panic to check our Monarch flights for June then - still showing as for sale but am getting a bit nervous :(
My son and his family had a deadline of this Saturday to cancel their Egypt holiday with TC to avoid losing more than their £800 deposit- last week they were in the branch and TC were trying to sell them another holiday. No mention of the fact that their flights had already been moved from Manchester to Gatwick!!! Fortunately I had seen all the issues on here and they have managed to get their £800 back today. How underhand are TC? Un-bloody-believable. I am so sorry for those who have lost their holidays - may be us if Monarch start messing too.
-
Just checked our Mon flights from Leeds and they are still on sale (16/05).
What will be will be I guess. No point in worrying at this stage. If the worst comes to the worst Scotland isn't bad in May :)

I have heard from Monarch via their FB page and they have confirmed there are currently no changes to flights to Turkey. Let's hope it stays that way.

I wonder what odds Bet Fred are offering on this ? ;)
-
Sssshhhhh!!!! ;D

Monarch have cancelled the flight from Dalaman to Manchester on the 1st May, friends who were on the flight now fly on the 2nd May. I'm not sure whwn the flight was cancelled. We fly with Monarch Dalaman to Gatwick on the 1st May this is there first flight of the season.
Does anybody know if there are any direct flights to Dalaman from the UK over Easter.

According to Skyscanner London, Manchester and Birmingham
-
Just heard from friends that Norwich has now been pulled by Thomas Cook.

That only lasted until last week when Monarch cancelled my July flight

This is brutal.
I've always gone from Bristol or Exeter with EasyJet. Like a fiddler's elbow, the prices and availability have gone up and down.
Regrettably, I've had enough of this - I feel that I've been pushed from pillar to post.
Hopefully 2017 will be easier.
For the first time ever I'm knocking it on the head.
It'll be Cyprus in September....... other half was concerned anyway - after last year's change in attitudes from our normal haunts.
With regret, no Turkey this year - for the first time in 15 years.
Gosh - it hurts.
-
Just read in the papers that Thomascook have re-allowcated 1000s of flights away from Turkey,Egypt,Tunisia,to other destinations from london gatwick this year and are re-viewing the situation later in october. So i would imagine that there will be limited flights to turkey this year,we are out with monarch on the 2nd,june.
-
My daughter flew with T.C. from Glasgow to Antalya yesterday and the flight was full.
-
Flights will be full as flights are cancelled, that's sort of the idea.
And people hanging on for cheaper fares might consider what happens when people are let down by the likes of Monarch and TC - they take a refund and book with Easyjet or Jet2. Easyjet and Jet2 prices won't be coming down much - and the more cancellations, the more they'll go up.
-
Blimey! We are booked with monarch June 1 from LBA and have been wavering all winter as to whether we should or shouldn't. We had decided we should. maybe the decision will be made for us given the situation with flights !
