Remarkably Donald Trump has united Erdogan and The Pope in their opposition to this move. And the UN. And the EU and the governments of China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Iran ... and so on. Even the Ditherers of Downing Street aren't sure it is such a good idea.

Yesterday Trump decided it was a good idea to set fire to the Middle East and today Boris will announce that the UK is going to volunteer to be Middle East firefighters again [building on our great successes in Iraq and Libya].

UN Vote: Trump 9; Rest of the World 128. Glad to see the UK was part of the 128. I thought that post-Brexit we might become US poodle.
