Hi, I am thinking of booking the Hotel Mediteran in Fethiye for w/com 4th Oct. Can anyone tell me anything about this hotel, and how long it would take to walk to the water taxi to Calis, near the water front little market?

It does not look very inviting but I am told the rooms are nice and clean and spacious but it is a good half an hour walk to the water taxi. You can get a dolmus. If you look to the headland above Fethiye where the TV transmitter aerials are located....it is at sea level below there.

I stayed here once and for a cheap hotel it is fine. Lovely views and OK food. It is a bit far to walk to Fethiye town in the very hot waether but don't let that put you off as the dolmus (bus) regularly stop outside the hotel. It is next to the boat yard which gives it a very special appeal. Pool is quite good too. Rooms have air con but the hotel would benifit from a refurbish.

October is around 70/80 degrees during the day
