there are many refurbished pansyons on the island and would be ideal for a short break.

It leaves Rhodes at 06.50 and arrives at Meis at 11.30. Stops for 20 minutes or so and then returns to Rhodes. It's run by Blue Star Ferries. http://www.bluestarferries.com/ENGLISH/defaultmain.htm and is the main supply line for the island.

The next time I go on the visa run I'm looking at doing a round trip something on the lines of Fethiye - Marmaris - Rhodes - Meis - Fethiye. Should be a nice 2 day jolly.

I am guessing the answer will be a 'no', but has anyone done the flight to Rhodes from Meis or stayed over in Meis. The travelagent link for flight tickets is still not working. Does anyone have any other contact details?

That shouldn`t be a problem, 90% of the things you can buy in the Duty Free are cheaper in the little shops

For accommodation information and the history of the island try www.blueislands.gr then click on accommodation and then click on Kastalorizo (also known as Megisti as well as Meis).

We have booked to stay for 2 nights on the island at Caretta Pension so will give you a report when we get back  :).
