I can remember a couple of years ago watching a programme about repellents and mossies. Lots of different repellents were tested. once covered in the repellent the 'guinea pig' had to place his arm into a container full of mossies!  :o Some repellents worked better than others obviously.. and some even attracted them!! The conclusion to the experiment was that Citronella was the best form of repellent as when they used this product, not even one mossie went near!
I don't suffer too much from bites but when friends and family are over I always make sure we have citronella candles and sprays.

I have to agree with Scorcher - Boots wipes are excellent - keep them in my handbag for when I land at Dalaman !  I always get zapped at the airport !   (but they take off your nail varnish !).  Marmite, garlic, citronella and Skin so soft....all work for me.

Anything with Deet over 50%, vitamin B12, or yeast tablets- same effect as marmite, Avon skin so soft and finally a burkha works wonders!

Used to get eaten alive by mossies. Was advised to try taking oderless garlic tablets. Tried this on my last trip about two weeks ago and it worked very well only got one bite the whole trip. But as was said in a preveious post if you find something that works for you stick with it

I do not believe this weak excuse for drinking Efes.  AND I did not believe my husband when he claimed he had to drink Raki to keep mossies away.
