This is a sorry tale of a silly old git.
Mid way through our holiday, two ladies came to clean our apartment. When they had finished, the younger of the two stood at the foot of the stairs and beckoned me to "come, come" as she started to climb the stairs.
Now I was sure that Brenda had not ordered "additional services" and I couldn't remember if I had, so I duly obliged.
As we climbed the thirty-two steps, I tried desperately not to look where a man of my years shouldn't. Unsurprisingly, I failed miserably. At the head of the stairs, the young lady walked straight into the bedroom and I duly followed, my heart rate rising.
Once inside, this beautiful young woman lowered her eyes for a moment, then looked up with the most gorgeous brown eyes. She flashed me a seductive smile (well that's how I interpreted it) and in a soft sexy voice said "Ben sadece beyaz havlulari yikadim renklileri degil". When I confessed to my shocking knowledge of the Turkish language, she kindly explained in broken English what she had said.
Well you can imagine my disappointment and I was forced to concede that "there's no fool like an old fool"
(I mean absolutely no offence to the young lady concerned)
