Last October

another day one of them prodded a man who was asleep on a bench, the look on his face when he woke up was classic!

thank you, actually, must have been July as my daughter didn't come in October. Saw them flying once which was amazing, but too far away for the camera, I didn't believe it was them to start with when my partner pointed them out, and I was adamant they were too big to fly. took a while for the teasing to stop.....

I have seen them quite a few times. When my brother was over there a few months ago he introduced them to his new girlfriend and one of them grabbed her arm. It didn't hurt her I think she just disturbed them when they were out of the way eating.

Beautiful animals

I was living in the Fethiye when the pelicans first arrived.  One local was overheard asking his friends "Can you eat them?"
