Cadianda Quiz night's generosity

As usual Fi & Eric staged a very  enjoyable quiz - save for the anagrams which were well obscure!! well for most of the teams anyway!  
A quick whip round raised a magnificent 290TL for our 'rainbow boy' (the 7 year old with leukeamia for the last 4 years) and his family.  :D:D
This will go straight into the hands of FIG's treasurer who is quite strict with me.

Following a visit to the family on Friday morning with the very generous food donations from Calis Carnival, Embrace and Animal Aid supporters,we shall decide how and when to use it. That visit will meet the families needs for most larder foods for some time to come.
FIG currently spends 285TL each month on their national insurance equivalent to ensure continuity of medical treatment and we paid the last electric bill. The money donated could go towards travel expenses for their next dreaded visit to Antalya, or on nappies for the younger sister, but be assured it will contribute to the lifeline this family needs whilst they struggle not only with the severe health problems of a very loved member of the family but also serious debt problems.  Debts brought about not by recklessnes but out of making every attempt to save the life of a beloved son. And because those efforts have prevented the self employed father from being able to work and earn normally.
