Is the society run for profit or a non-profit organisation? What will all the 100 TL joining/membership fees be used for?

Actually it would be nice to know where the joining fees go and if this is a profit making scheme (maybe not the right phrase but you know what I mean). Having said that - even if it is it's a good idea and I hope it takes off. Nice to have the nets and chipping area. Maybe if you get enough interest someone will take note and splash some cash on a course near Fethiye.

The reason for my question is that if it is a business that is fine but if they are for making a profit, they can pay for that advert. 100 lira to the carnival fund will do.  Many 100 tl memberships should bring in a lot more than you need for a few nets and a green.

I think this holds the answer Keith:

http://www.fethiyetimes.com/news/44-news/5950-golfing-comes-to-mula.html

'This will not be a financial business; it will not have an ownership and will be based solely as a members club.'

If it's what people locally want that's good, I applaud people who provide things people want. Once again my irritation comes from people who think this is a place where you can turn up and advertise whatever you like for nothing. I have never seen anyone from this golf society help CBF members by answering a question or posting any information other than things to do with their golf society.

Fair point Keith.

If it's anything like the golf society I am in the 'funds' will go towards reduced costs for trips etc. However the question does need answering I suppose.

I may be in the minority here.... but if funds are re-invested for equipment and upkeep,
then I don't think thats so Bad.
I am intending to be a member..(although in UK at the mo)(and have helped on one or two topics)
My only question is.. Is the bowls club charging anything to the golf club?
