You've all heard the phrase "everything including the kitchen sink" - someone sold a bath tub.

Thanks to Rob and Jen for all their time and efforts which produced a good event.

On behalf of Calis Children's Charity I would like to thank the organisers of the Uzumlu Boot Sale.  We had a really nice morning, it was a very laid back event and we enjoyed being just a stallholder rather than organising the event. To top it all the sun shone all morning  :)

Highlights for us were purchasing an almost brand new wheelchair from the stall next to us which we will donate to a good cause and the villager who did not have 2 lira to pay for a pair of second hand tracksuit bottoms on our stall so bartered 2 kilos of tomatoes instead - priceless! :D

The next Calis Car Boot Sale is on Sunday 20 February and we would welcome the organisers of the Uzumlu sale to have a stall for free, to raise more money for the school, as all charities are provided with a free stall (2 tables width) and two tables.

Thanks again and well done in raising such a good amount  :)

There are plans to make it a regular event during the summer when Calis Boot Fair stops, so it would be on the 3rd Sunday of each month starting in May. The Belidiye have said that we can use their land (near the Post Office) so this will make it more accessible.
