We went to Cyprus about 10 yrs ago, and on a board outside a restaurant was advertised  Mixed Blung. we never did find out what it was and we still ponder now what we  may have missed out on!

Took me until my third holiday in Calis to summon up the nerve to have "Cigarette Pie" - I thought it might be rather like a full ashtray with pastry over the top.

mine was a board advertising "jacket potatoes,with various feelings" when i tried to tell them it should read "fillings",,i was then told that they were right as "all their potatoes had feelings" it did make me laugh.

Yes I think maybe it's a bit like Arkwright's special offer signs he painted on the shop window in Open all Hours - make a mistake deliberately because people come in to point it out, and then you've got them :D

We introduced a couple to Turkey who came for Brenda's "big" birthday. On meeting Nevra the fellow turned to me and said quite innocently "wow she's a real peach"
