'Scuse me, I thought this was Calis Seafront
« on: July 25, 2013, 16:52:44 PM »
-but it seems its actually a section of the M1.  Or to put it another way, when are the Zabita going to stop the front from being used for vehicles.  Its bad enough that scooters, mopeds and electric bikes use it, but now there are electric 3 wheel scooters and a Segway!!!!!  >:(

How long before theres an accident which may affect innocent pedestrians OR people sitting having a meal!  The front should be a place for pedestrians and pedestrians only.  Children should be safe there.  I hope something is done about it before a tragedy occurs.

contact the Zabita, make a complaint the more that complain then maybe they will start to enforce no vehicles. strange that the bar/restaurant owners have not complained.

Crikey! It was a road for several years before traffic was diverted round the back! We used to take our lives in our hands walking on the prom late at night after a few libations! We stayed for many years above the Harem and the noise from the motorbikes rounding the corner kept us awake for hours so we needed a few drinkies to sleep!

I've lost count of the number of times they have introduced a "no vehicles" policy on the prom. It normally lasts till lunch on the first day.

There are signs up but I think it's optional, bit like traffic lights

Have to admit I liked it when they had the bicycle rickshaws going up and down the prom.  They did not last long, but they always seemed to be busy when we where down at the prom.  I think Rickshaws that just travelled around the Calis area would be a great idea.  A real tourist attraction.

Yes, as is common there they were fine right up until the bit where they seemed to be doing well.

The Zabita, on their bikes are one of the worst offenders... ;)

Maybe all the more reason to make a complaint.
