Hi,

There is a nice butchers on the Baris Manco blv (the road that leads straight up from Calis beach centre) Its past the dentist and over both roundabouts. Its next door to PJs Irish bar. Seems to do alot of fresh meat and attracts alot of Turkish people so can't be too bad.

Hope this helps

Regards,

David

I find the bacon is very good quality too Lance and as you say not full of water or that horrible white stuff.  It cooks really well and tastes very good.  We don't eat it for breakfast, but have a BLT at lunchtime.

We are as I type this on our way to calis. In our case is a parcel of back bacon and some smoked salmon, also a couple of packs of Italian blend filter coffee. I dare say I could last the 10 days without such comestibles however as we can carry  it, have the facilities to cook it , we take it! We also have brown sauce with us as a  bacon sarny isn't the same without it. There's nothing nicer than sitting on our own terrace with a cup of coffee and a bacon sarny, except perhaps sitting on our terrace with a cold glass of white wine, but that wasn't the question.
