A Christmas Gift from CBF
« on: December 25, 2014, 20:17:10 PM »
Friends

The last two Christmases in our home have been highly emotional. This year has been no different.

When I first heard about the tragic family suffering from horrendous, incurable medical conditions, I confess to having got emotional.

Now, as I sit here and I think of the lovely people listed above, the three wonderful people who sent me donations privately and the fantastic anonymous donor in Turkey, I am emotional again.

So, forgive me if all I can say is a massive thank you to everyone who took part in the advent calendar and, if my arithmetic is correct, raised £ 730.00 for the boys.  I’m 100 % sure you have made a difference to two little boys who need all the help they could get.

I will have the greatest of pleasure in sending over the money when it has all come in.

John
Without a selfless fundraiser like you to make these idea's happen these
lads and many other kids would be the poorer.
THANK YOU for the time you devote to helping others, you're a star.

Absolutely Kevin - there's no-one quite like H for devising money raising ideas. A superb total!

Now, can I have my forum back for a few months while you take a well earned break!!! :D

To say I am amazed is a total understatement to say I am overwhelmed an even bigger understatement. I cannot think of enough kind words to say to all of those who have contributed to help the two boys and also to John for organising all the fund raising .It truly is an astonishing amount to have raised and I know their lives will be made so much better for them. They were so incredibly grateful to receive all new winter clothes and footwear so on my next visit to them will see if it is possible to fit windows in the house and maybe a supply of fuel to keep them warm for the rest of the winter. We will keep you informed on how the money is spent . Bless you and Thank You John and we wish you a wonderful New Year from all at "Embrace"

Well done H, but now (after Jan 7th) it's time for your mind to rest before thinking of the next fundraiser.  8)
