500ml Efes for under 6tl

Lidl are doing 500ml Efes for £1.49 from 7th July, so all those who enjoy one of the worst pilsners ever created get in there...

I suppose its one way to get rid of your excess production!

Yes John I'll avoid it like the plague too, whether from Lidl or your local Turkish retailer.  Although the advantage Lidl has is that it has plenty of excellent alternative beers on offer, unlike the Turkish retailer.

Difficult to know what to have this lunchtime. Butcome Best? St Austell Tribute? Wye Valley HPA? London Pride? Courage Best? I'd have our local brewery (2 miles up the road) Great Western Brewery IKB Bitter if it was a guest this week, but I doubt it.

Well it ended up being Butcombe (another fairly local brew) because the GWB offer was Bees Knees, a honeyed ale, of which I am not so fond as the IKB.

Its there.  You're just not looking hard enough. 

Why you so bothered anyway, I mean who would want to drink Efes in the UK?  Its disgusting and only barely tolerable when its 30c+ and there's no alternative.
