I am sorry that there were not lots of "likes"... The 3 C's. Fig and Embrace don't expect lots of likes.. We probably never even thought about it... It was enough that there was a huge amount of money raised and that this forum supported us hugely... Embrace do a great job and just get quietly on with it... Nobody expects praise as I am sure you don't but you must admit that it did make it look that way... We aren't on this forum every day either. Some of us have lives to live....
I know people on The 3C'S who don't even use this forum or never get a mention and they do the bulk of the work which is the same as your charity a huge amount. organising  boot sales, Xmas fair. Spring fair.. fashion show..auction etc.etc. . They care a great deal about the children they help.  You just have to live with it... There are some members of this forum who bring out donations for AA, 3CS  and Embrace... they don't bang on about it on here. There are many ways of "supporting" the charities without having to "like".

CleopatrasAsp - the fact that people didn't "like" your post does not mean they are apathetic and does not necessarily mean that they are not appreciative of AA's members efforts.

It's a similar situation to the one “NO” voters in Scotland found themselves in after the Referendum. If they disagreed with the views being expressed by others, i.e the SNP, they were suddenly branded as being unpatriotic and/or stupid and/or of not being worthy of having a point of view. None of which is the case for many.

Hope this answers your question Highlander.

It does and proves the point.

Animal Aid simply cannot have it both ways. They accused CBF members of being apathetic and yet won't post events on here.

Quoting Highlander ''Animal Aid simply cannot have it both ways. They accused CBF members of being apathetic and yet won't post events on here.''To clarify ....... Animal Aid did not accuse CBF members of being apathetic, I did!!!! I volunteered to post Animal Aid specific events on here which I have done, together with details on money raised throughout the year and where that money has been spent, just as the other favoured charities have done.
