Help needing the name of a shop ..
« on: December 04, 2017, 07:10:29 AM »
Hi can anyone help me , I need to find the name and the email address if possible of the leather shop that is near to the duck pond , just off the main road in fethiye.
After visiting Turkey 15 times in as many years I have been scamed and I have met some of the most amazing people , but for some reason what I didn’t expect was to walk into a respectable leather shop and be sold a leather handbag as a genuine, pay the retailed price   ( £215) Be given a certificate with the bag , and only 12 weeks later the Handel break,I then contacted the makers of the bag who instructed me to send it to them for repair as they garentte for 10 years . They returned it to me and said they were very sorry but the bag was a copy .
It really made me feel sad because I am not a person who buys shoes and bags it was the first “ proper” bag I had wanted in Turkey and my hubbie got it as a holiday gift..I just feel let down an fed up . But I really do want to contact that shop , who NoDOUBT will have new owners . If I had wanted a copy bag I could have gone to a couple of the shops in calis or the market , I just didn’t expect that kind of decite.

Sorry to tell you but the majority of the "branded" goods sold round the resorts in Turkey are fake.  Only way to guarantee a genuine item is to use an official distributor, the addresses of which are usually on the brands main web site.

I think I know the shop you mean, but no idea of its name.

Just a thought...

The council's have been cracking down on copyright infringement recently so if you don't get any joy from the shop, it may be worthwhile getting someone to contact the Zabita on your behalf - or even emailing them yourself.
