John & I went to Edis funeral today. There was a huge turnout, unsurprisingly.
Very emotional, he was so loved.
Broke my heart last night seeing his little dog sleeping outside the shop.
I've been assured the locals are looking out for him.

Oh my goodness it would have broken me to see his little dog outside his shop  :'(
From the posts on here and on FB I hope Edi knew how much he was loved and respected by so many people. He will certainly be missed.

We have checked on Edis dog every morning and night for the past few days .. he is still laying in front of the shutters, very quiet and so very sad . I have spoken to a few of the jewellers and they have said the dog will be looked after but he won’t leave the shop front yet so there is nothing they can do until he knows Edi isn’t coming back to him .There is plenty of food and water ,but it’s very heartbreaking to see this little guy grieve for his master . I so hope with all my heart he is cared for to the end of his days because he is an old fella, with faded vision and could never adapt to living on the streets . Edis would hate that for his little buddy.

Ah that is soo lovely you have been checking on Edi’s little dog   :)I was going to yesterday when we left the beach but we ended up going home a diff way..Im sure someone will look after Mickey...Im sure Edi used to leave him outside shop at night once he had locked up...I still cant believe Il never see Edi again he was a big part of Calis for me, never wanted to even look in any other jewellers...Last year I spent 5 months here and my son stayed for 6 weeks, we often would stop and chat with Edi of an evening, he always said one night we will make barbecue and drink raki at back of my shop, I honestly meant to do it one night with Jack just never did and again this summer I thought we will defo do it this year, then seeing Edi was clearly soo not right in it was either June or July, Iv have learnt a very valuable lesson “never put off until tomorrow what you can do today”...
R.i.p Edi you are very missed    :'(
