Title: taxi or bus from dalaman airport

Good afternoon,

Could someone please suggest the cheapest way to travel from Dalaman airport to Ovacik. Is it just by using the airport taxi's and the likely cost,
or is there a bus service. Or does anyone use a rellable service regularythat they might recommend.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Once you get to Fethiye Otogar (Bus Station) you've got a choice of taxi or dolmus (local minibus) to Ovacik.

Airport Taxis are the most expensive.  Look at Resort Hoppa who will pick you up by shuttle at the airport.

Depends on number of people and available budget.

But I will not apologies for mentioning Fethiye Airport Transfers - £ 35.00 1-4 persons.   :)

Didn't someone on here recently report that the traditionally expensive airport taxis are now relatively cheap with the exchange rate?

Fethiye Airport transfers are excellent and good value.

Depends if they stick to the rules and charge the correct fare.

‘Twas me that queried the taxi v transfer issue in the light of the current exchange rates........

I have now used a taxi twice from Dalaman – walk down the ramp and straight to the rank.

The first time, it was late at night and the airport was heaving. The best rate I could get haggling in English was £40.00

The second time it was late afternoon and the airport was dead. Haggling in Turkish got me a deal for £30.00.

I think the moral is that you will pay about the same as a Private Transfer but if you do need a taxi for some reason you are not going to pay much over the odds and you certainly shouldn’ t be ripped off.

Sorry ........ forgot to mention...... my taxis from the airport were to Calis....... Ovacik will be more, needless to say.
