Innsbruck Airport is very pleasant. Once through security you can take your drink from the bar out to tables on the tarmac to sit watching helicopters and little private jets landing and taking off. Mind you, landing at Innsbruck in a 18-seater plane down the narrow corridor between northern and southern ranges of the Alps in the middle of a violent alpine thunderstorm was ... ... ... interesting.

Bournemouth International  is a real gem/
2 mins walk from very cheap car park to quiet check desk.
20 meters to very fast passport control..
10 meters to security checks.
1 minuet walk through duty free to departure lounge.
30 metes walk to board the aircraft

Newcastle's not bad about ten minutes through security Leeds/Bradford the same the only problem with these two are the parking is a bit on the dear side, looking at flying from Edinburgh back end of August and the parking looks a lot cheaper

Alicante...We have need to travel with a wheelchair now and the difference in how the disabled are treated at this country  to Spain was a revelation.... I hate Manchester airport Terminal one with a passion..

Prestwick, an absolute doddle. Easy parking/train connection, then loads of desks open.

This idea came from another topic - which UK airport/airline gave you the best check in experience?

So, the nominations for the best UK airports for check in are:

The old Dalaman domestic terminal
Innsbruck
Alicante

The last two times we had no problems at Glasgow, will see if there has been any change when we fly again this year   However, Esbjerg  and Norwich, in the past were really good, but I suspect it is because, like others mentioned here, they are small Airports.

I think, Scunner, you should do a thread on the worst check-in next.
